Re: Regionals Pole vault and high jump gets the shaft!

Unfortunately, the minority of coaches from the traditional powerhouses hate competing for a spot for nationals so they lobbied to change a regional system, that worked from a fan perspective in the beginning, into the pathetic meet we have now.[/quote]

Yep, this is how it went down.

Re: Rory Quiller

I was surprised to see people criticizing Rory on this forum. Many successful college jumpers have struggled the first year or two out of college. Rory is the least selfish person you will ever meet which has definitely caused his coaching and masters studies to interfere with his training. He has b...

Re: What's the overall best school to vault at?

Binghamton is a very good academic school, has very good facilities and the head coach is the vault coach (and a two-time NCAA PV Champion as well). Rory Quiller will be training/coaching there for the the next 4-5 years. For those wishing to stay in the Northeast Binghamton is an excellent option.

Rory is grateful, excited and appreciative to be the NCAA Champion, and is not taking it for granted. He just really wants to jump 18-8 1/4.

How about Bevan Hart? He was a 17-9 guy in college but also an 8002 point decathlete. Fousing on just the vault he would have the athletic ability to pull it off.

Anyone who reads, believes in and understands the concepts (simple concepts, I believe) that Tim and Altius have spoken about here will be well on their way to success in the pole vault, for their words are true.
