I would assume Jack would be in contention for the Gatorade Athlete of the Year award... not just at the state but national level.

Jack won Oklahoma. Curtis Beach was the National winner. He was the best Track athlete this year by far.

Yeah there were some incredible high school athletes this year. I think Jack had easily the most dominant season by a high schooler in a long long time. Kind of hard to compare him and Tommy Skipper because Tommy was injured most of the year and did not compete in nearly as many meets. I think it's just as hard to be consistently in the mid-high 17's and winning every meet as it is to pop an 18-footer as a high schoolers.

Yet that pales in comparison to the things Curtis Beach has done this year. Even if Jack had jumped 18'6, he still would have been beat by Beach for AOY.
