Soceka Combines Pole Vault and Pentathlon
MADISON, Wis.
Since Jenny Soceka, a junior pole vaulter and multi-event athlete, was recruited three years ago out of Madison Memorial High School, she has always felt at home at the University of Wisconsin. But this season, Soceka is finally starting to find her place as a leader and top-level competitor on the women’s track and field team.
Her first year as a Badger, Soceka focused on pole vault, the event she was recruited for, although she also ran the hurdles in high school.
