Division II will continue to expand its new-media capabilities by videostreaming portions of the Division II Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track and Field Championship from Minnesota State Mankato March 14-15. The broadband coverage will be available on the Division II/CSTV Web site (<http://www.cstv.com>www.cstv.com).
Nine hours of coverage will be provided each day of the championships using three cameras, two stationed outside the track and another mobile camera dedicated to field events. Coverage will be devoted primarily to the event finals during times when events overlap.
This is the first time the NCAA has featured a Division II track championship via broadband. The NCAA facilitated broadband coverage of the Division I Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track and Field Championships last year and will do so again in 2008.
