Helsinki Grand Prix Cancelled

The IAAF have decided to cancel the Helsinki Grand Prix in 2007, it was announced on Tuesday. The annual Athens Super Grand Prix has also seen its status to Grand Prix after poor attendance in 2006.
The announcements were made at the IAAF council on Tuesday, which also heard that three other one-day meetings – Carson (USA), New York (USA), Rethymno (GRE) – have asked to join the World Athletics Tour.
